This year, Blue Week at Minieracustica offers a unique opportunity to learn about American folk, old time and Bluegrass music from three musicians who have a deep understanding of what has been done in the past, but who are also creative and important contributors to what is happening now in American acoustic music.
A guitar class by GRANT GORDY, a banjo class led by WESLEY CORBETT and a mandolin class by SIERRA HULL.
Each day, 3 hours in the morning will be dedicated to the instrument class for 18 hours of teaching.
By exchanging and sharing, this will make you understand and especially live the true pleasure of music. Our teachers 2018
This musical workshop is for students of all levels, who attend either by themselves or are accompanied by someone. Courses take place in 6 sessions of 4 hours (from Friday to Tuesday in the morning and one afternoon session), with classes of 12 persons maximum. The teaching materials are included in the registration.
Arrival is scheduled for Thursday, August 23 in the afternoon and the first course is planned on Friday morning. On Tuesday evening a small class concert is organized. Afternoons are reserved for extracurricular activities that are included in the price of the course but are optional. They allow you to discover the artistic activities of the Miniera (the place where the workshop is held). This year we offer an introduction to pottery and ceramic decoration. A visit of Urbino is scheduled during the week. Evenings are devoted to concerts and jam sessions.
We hope that you will be among those who will have the privilege of sharing these moments of discovery and this unique musical experience.
